Keeping Social Media Simple

A barrier to the addition of Social Media to a marketing strategy is sometimes the complexity of this set of tools.

With so many Social Media options available, all of which rely on some knowledge of technology (even at a basic level), it is no surprise that this can result in inertia.

Within my firm of Chartered Financial Planners, we recently needed to explain to some interested third-parties just how we went about using Social Media in the business. Rather than attempt to explain this through death-by-Powerpoint, we went for the more fun approach of creating a cartoon.

As you can see from this simple cartoon strip, we start with some content on our website and then populate the world of Social Media from there.

Having a simple plan like this to use Social Media removes the inertia and quickly puts you in a strong position to embrace this increasingly important marketing channel.
